🏛️ 1968 – Formation of the Association

📌 March 19, 1968

• Prominent trade members called for a meeting to discuss industry issues.

📌 March 25, 1968

• Meeting held with 17 attendees.
• Decision made to form “The Bombay Fountain Pen Trade Association.”
• An Adhoc Committee was formed to draft the constitution.

📌 April – June 1968

• Drafting and refining of the Memorandum and Articles of Association through multiple meetings.

📌 June 22, 1968

• Official launch of the association as: “The Bombay Fountain Pen Manufacturers & Traders Association”
• Attended by 47 founding members.

🔁 2017 – Expansion and Name Change

📌 March 29, 2017

• A Special General Meeting was held.
• Association renamed to: “Pen & Stationery Association of India”

✅ Reasons for the Name Change:

1. The old name was no longer relevant to the expanding industry.
2. Members had diversified into various stationery products.
3. The association had grown into a pan-India body.

🌐 2025 – Present Day: A National Presence

• Now representing 700+ members across India.
• Actively working to support and promote the pen and stationery industry nationwide.
