π March 19, 1968
- Prominent trade members called for a meeting to discuss industry issues.
π March 25, 1968
- Meeting held with 17 attendees.
- Decision made to form βThe Bombay Fountain Pen Trade Association.β
- An Adhoc Committee was formed to draft the constitution.
π April β June 1968
- Drafting and refining of the Memorandum and Articles of Association through multiple meetings.
π June 22, 1968
- Official launch of the association as: βThe Bombay Fountain Pen Manufacturers & Traders Associationβ
- Attended by 47 founding members.
π 2017 β Expansion and Name Change
π March 29, 2017
- A Special General Meeting was held.
- Association renamed to: βPen & Stationery Association of Indiaβ
β Reasons for the Name Change:
- The old name was no longer relevant to the expanding industry.
- Members had diversified into various stationery products.
- The association had grown into a pan-India body.
π 2025 β Present Day: A National Presence
- Now representing 700+ members across India.
- Actively working to support and promote the pen and stationery industry nationwide.
